Who uses TestNoodle

Accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. Children do not sign up themselves; a parent adds child profiles and gives consent for their child's data to be processed as described here.

Data we collect

• Parent account: name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider).
• Child profiles: first name, class/grade, school board and the avatar you choose.
• Content you add: photos of textbook pages, worksheets, notes or past papers, and question styles learned from them.
• Learning activity: generated tests and questions, answers, scores, explanations and AI tutor conversations.
• Plan and usage: your subscription plan, AI credits used and payment order records (amount, plan, status). Card or UPI details are handled by the payment provider and never reach us.
• Technical data: IP address, device and app information and request logs, used for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To provide the service: read your photos, generate tests, grade answers, run the AI tutor and show progress.
• To manage your account, plan limits and credits, and to send sign-in codes and service emails.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To respond to support requests.

We do not sell personal data, show advertising, track children across other apps or websites, or build behavioural profiles of children. Your content is not used to train AI models.

Where data is processed

We use trusted service providers who process data only on our instructions:

• Amazon Web Services (Mumbai region, India): hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, email delivery and AI processing (Amazon Bedrock).
• Google Play: app distribution and in-app purchases.
• GoDaddy: our support mailbox.

Your account and learning data are stored in India.

How long we keep it

• Account, child profiles, tests and tutor chats: until you delete them or your account.
• Uploaded photos: deleted automatically 365 days after upload, or earlier when you delete your account.
• Server logs: 30 days.
• Payment order records: only as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted to the systems that need it, and every request is checked so each family can only reach its own data.

Your rights

• Access and correct your data: view and edit your profile and child profiles in the app, or email us.
• Erase your data: delete child profiles, tests or tutor chats in the app, or delete your whole account (see Delete your account).
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting the data or your account.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity, by writing to us.
• Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
